No to Military Strikes: Fight Ahmadinejad, not the Iranian people

As part of its Peace and Security program, Omid for Iran conducted a study on the human costs of military strikes on Iran’s nuclear program.  The study looks at the human, economic and environmental costs of a confrontation involving conventional and tactical nuclear strikes against nuclear installations in Isfahan, Natanz, Arak and Bushehr.  It concludes that Ahmadinejad’s provocative foreign and nuclear policy would expose the Iranian people, and much of the region, to unacceptable risks from exposure to radiation, toxic gases and other contaminants.   It calls for the adoption of a strategy focused on protecting the Iranian people by raising their awareness about the costs of Ahmadinejad’s nuclear gamble.  The study will be released soon.
