Since its establishment in 1979, the Islamic Republic has repeatedly used religion as a basis for discriminating against the Iranian people, particularly religious minorities.  Omid for Iran has launched and supported resolutions calling for an end to the systematic persecution of Iran’s religious minorities.  We will continue to launch initiatives designed to protect all Iranians against discrimination by ensuring the equality of all Iranians under the law, regardless of their religious beliefs and practices.
